This study aimed to describe the mortality profile of prostate cancer in the context of the covid-19 pandemic between 2019 and 2020. To carry out this research, the ecological method was used, with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out from March to April 2022 on the Informatics platform of the Unified Health System (DATASUS), from the mortality information system (SIM) and the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN). It was found that in the North region, in 2019, there were 891 cases of deaths and in the year 2020 (with a pandemic), there were 881 cases of deaths. In the Southeast region, in 2019, there were 6,829 (7.31 deaths per 100,000 men) and in 2020 (with a pandemic), there were 6,586 (7.05 deaths per 100,000 men). The number of all regions in 2019 reaches 15,983 (17.11 deaths per 100,000 men) and in 2020, it reaches 15,841 (16.95 deaths per 100,000 men). From this work, it was possible to demonstrate that the decline in prostate cancer diagnoses is due to a combination of several factors such as difficulty in tracking the disease and, mainly, social isolation caused by the pandemic. With this, we can say that the Covid-19 pandemic affected the epidemiological indicators of mortality from prostate cancer during 2019-2020.
