The present work reports a research that aimed to present the method of cubic footage of wood, contrasting with the school methods currently taught. In the development of the work, we make some considerations about Ethnomathematics, understanding that this research approaches, in some way, the bias of this theory. The study revolves around the presentation and discussion of methods used for logging wood in the municipality of Breves-Pa. We verified that the methods studied offer results very close to those achieved when school mathematics is used. We infer that it could be fruitful for students' learning and interest that these discussions were taken to Spatial Geometry classes in classrooms.
