Mathematics has always been seen as a subject that terrifies people, and this fear, which has been passed down from generation to generation, has made the teaching process of this curricular component even more difficult. In this sense, the general objective of this work is to analyze the importance of ludic activities – games and games – in the process of teaching and learning Mathematics, as pedagogical resources that make it more enjoyable, in order to contribute to the integral development of students. This article has as its method the basic research, with exploratory objectives, through a bibliographical procedure and survey, through a questionnaire applied to the teachers of the public teaching network of a municipality in the northwest of São Paulo. According to its results, it is concluded that ludicity cannot be seen only as a form of fun disconnected from learning, but rather as a fundamentally important tool to encourage children to study any area of knowledge, especially the Mathematics curricular component.
