Mathematics has played an extremely important role in the lives of individuals since its beginnings, helping man to understand all areas of his life. Nowadays, mathematics has improved and found other ways to provide knowledge, whether through technology, classes, but also in games, which is the subject of this academic work, to show how the game Tower of Hanoi can be a mediating tool in teaching of powers for elementary school students. In this article, we tried to see a way to fix the content with the aid of the game, since the objective was to facilitate students' learning. For data collection, observations, image records and recording of relevant situations were used in a logbook, which is a notebook or folder in which the student records the steps he takes in the development of a project. The results presented show that it is possible to arouse interest in mathematics using the game mentioned as a methodological resource.
