Playing, the child develops by improving his motor, social and intellectual skills. The game provides pleasure and makes the child better assimilate the content. We sought to describe the importance of playful activities for children's learning and how they are inserted in everyday school life, through bibliographical research. The applicability of playful teaching is slow, as there is a lack of specific didactics in teacher training and incentives on the part of school coordination. The lack of planning for an organized project to combine games and games with the theoretical content was evident, since without this project, the teacher is responsible for planning attractive activities that facilitate the students' learning of theoretical contents. Educational games show the importance of playfulness for child development and contribute to the child's acquisition of knowledge.
