This article aimed to analyze the factors contributing to deaths from visceral leishmaniasis in the state of Pará between 2014 and 2025. This study is a descriptive epidemiological analysis, observational and retrospective in nature. Data were gathered from the TABNET platform, collecting information such as patient age, gender, age group, and type of case entry. The data were tabulated using Microsoft Excel and evaluated through descriptive analysis. A total of 184 deaths were recorded; 2018 was the peak year with 42 deaths, while 2025 showed the lowest number of reported deaths, with only 6 registered. The majority of recorded cases involved males (60.87%), and the pardo (mixed-race) demographic predominated (77.72%). The age group with the highest number of notifications was 40–59 years (22.28%); regarding clinical variables, it was observed that HIV coinfection did not show a high prevalence among the deaths (8.70%). Therefore, the results indicate that epidemiological factors significantly influence mortality; furthermore, the analysis reveals a decline in deaths, highlighting the impact of implementing prevention strategies and effective public policies.
