INTEGRAL HUMAN DEVELOPMENT IN BASIC EDUCATION: A TRANSDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TO CONFRONTING AND COMBATING FEMICIDE IN BRAZILIAN SOCIETY

Abstract

The silent geographical phenomenon of femicide in Brazilian society, a result of the patriarchal and sexist heritage intrinsically linked to structural violence, has shown a growing trend in recent years, demanding urgent protective policies and measures. This study aims to analyze the potential of a transdisciplinary approach as a didactic strategy, aiming at the human formation of students focused on the deconstruction of sexist culture and the fight against femicide among contemporary cross-cutting themes and general competencies for acquisition by all students throughout Basic Education. The qualitative research, with descriptive and exploratory contours, structured in the procedures of documentary research in association with bibliographic research, revealed itself as an innovative transdisciplinary approach in basic education teaching, as a didactic-pedagogical and methodological action in confronting and combating femicide in Brazilian society.
