Abstract

This article results from research linked to the Educanorte graduate program (Graduate Program in Education in the Amazon - PGEDA) at UFT an academic network doctoral program focused on the Amazon region. The study aimed to map the state of knowledge about Piaget and Vygotsky through bibliographic research, based on the dissertations defended in the Graduate Program in Education (PPGE) at the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT) from 2014 to 2025. A total of  dissertations were identified that address the thinking of the authors in question. The analysis highlighted the heterogeneity with which Piaget and Vygotsky's thought and theory are treated under various perspectives related to. It is noted that the discussion on these thinkers and their theories is still in its early stages and that further discussions are needed.
