JOURNALISTIC PRODUCTION FACING THE CHALLENGES AND TRANSFORMATIONS OF THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract

The dynamics of society are currently marked by the context of digital technologies. In this scenario, technological and social transformations have been observed as a result of the use of the internet and digital devices, enabling different forms of communication through this technology. In this context, journalism has sought adaptation as a way to innovate in meeting the demands and needs of consumers. This study aims to reflect on the importance of journalistic writing in the context of the digital age, given the need to adapt to a new era that journalism presents itself through technology. Regarding the research methodology, it is characterized as bibliographic, which includes the process of reading, analyzing, and interpreting already published material, such as books, magazines, newspapers, theses, dissertations, and proceedings of scientific events, which serve as support for the construction and reflections of other studies. Based on the theoretical findings, it is observed that the practice of journalism in the digital age is being discussed and growing increasingly in relation to digital technology, which highlights the need for journalistic writing in this context, given the necessity of providing accessible and interactive communication for network users.
