This study addresses the importance of routine laboratory tests for the early diagnosis of silent and unexpected diseases, which are essential for promoting health and disease prevention. Early diagnosis of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases, which often have no obvious symptoms, is crucial to avoid severe complications and improve patient prognosis. Laboratory tests, such as complete blood count, blood glucose, cholesterol, and renal and liver function tests, are indispensable tools in screening and monitoring these diseases. Periodic testing allows for early interventions, optimizing treatments and reducing morbidity and mortality rates. The study also highlights the relevance of laboratory tests in monitoring infectious and parasitic diseases, assisting in epidemiological control and guiding public health policies. The literature review involved the analysis of articles and theses published between 2020 and 2025, emphasizing the critical role of laboratory tests in preventive medicine, early diagnosis, and monitoring health conditions. It is concluded that the effective implementation of these tests, particularly in resource-limited areas, can significantly improve healthcare and contribute to a more proactive approach to public health preservation.
