Abstract

This article aims to investigate the effect of Pact Training on teachers’ performance in the classroom and on teaching practices in public schools. In the methodology, we adopted qualitative and descriptive research, studying documents, books, and applying questionnaires and open interviews with teachers who participated in the Pact program. The results indicated that teachers who participated in the Pact had significant improvements in teaching practices with the adoption of active and integrative methodologies. On the other hand, the lack of teaching resources and school infrastructure were noted as problems, which hinder the full implementation of the new approaches. It is concluded that continued teacher training is important for teacher qualification. However, stronger institutional support is needed to guarantee the implementation of the Pact program. Therefore, the continuity and expansion of qualification practices is recommended. In addition, it is necessary to provide more favorable environments in schools for quality education.
