This study aims to identify the social and academic skills of Igor (fictitious name), an 8-year-old boy who lives with his mother, grandmother and two sisters, aged 6 and 12. His mother describes him as quite agitated, easily irritated and often fighting with his sisters. Although his language development has been considered adequate, he currently faces difficulties in articulating words and presents phonoarticulatory exchanges. In relation to comprehensible language, Igor has difficulty responding to requests, responding better to simple and individual commands. He also complains of headaches after school. Igor is restless and has difficulty dealing with frustrations, showing irritability and easy distraction. He tends to get involved in conflicts with other children, especially when he feels upset, displaying verbally aggressive behavior and provoking others. Igor has an established routine and demonstrates autonomy in his personal care and in organizing his belongings. In his leisure time, he enjoys activities such as playing ball, flying kites with his sister, watching movies and playing on his cell phone. However, his mother observes that he shows little interest in school activities and has difficulty with spelling, always refusing to participate. The school confirms that Igor faces significant challenges in learning, with poor memorization and difficulty in following the content. Although he has good socialization and is quite communicative, the person being evaluated is easily distracted. This evaluation focuses on characterizing the child cognitively and socioemotionally, in order to guide the school and the family on which clinical or educational interventions can optimize his academic and social development.
