This article aimed to analyze the incidence of gestational toxoplasmosis in Bahia between 2019 and 2023, highlighting the risks of infection by Toxoplasma gondii during pregnancy and its consequences for the fetus. The study used SINAN and DATASUS data in a cross‑sectional, descriptive, and exploratory approach with quantitative analysis performed in Microsoft Excel. A total of 3,721 cases were reported, showing a progressive increase. Women aged 20 to 39 years were the most affected, while adolescents aged 10 to 14 and women aged 40 to 59 showed lower incidence, possibly due to reproductive phase and high‑risk pregnancies. The COVID‑19 pandemic may have negatively impacted prenatal services, requiring further investigation. The concentration of cases among women aged 20 to 30 reflects the high frequency of pregnancies in this group. Maternal coinfection with T. gondii can complicate pregnancy, making early diagnosis and continuous serological monitoring essential. Strengthening prenatal care is crucial to reduce vulnerabilities, emphasizing the importance of standardized notification and adequate support by health professionals.
