This study analyses the curricularisation of university extension in management and business courses, in light of the Guidelines for Extension in Brazilian Higher Education. This is a qualitative, documentary research study that examined national guidelines, internal regulations of three higher education institutions, and six Course Pedagogical Projects (PPCs) in the areas of Administration, Accounting Sciences, and Financial Management, in force between 2021 and 2025. Thematic content analysis showed that, although all PPCs formally mention the mandatory nature of extension, only some of them present consistent methodological details, explicit evaluation criteria, and institutional monitoring strategies. Heterogeneity was observed in the form of curricular insertion, with a predominance of fragmented models that were poorly articulated with formative competencies. It is concluded that the consolidation of extension as a structuring axis of the curriculum in management and business courses depends on greater consistency between regulations, pedagogical planning, and institutional teacher training policies. The study contributes by systematising analytical categories applicable to the evaluation of the curricularisation of extension in professional courses.
