LA CULTURA DE LA ANULACIÓN: LA INFLUENCIA DE LOS MEDIOS DE COMUNICACIÓN

The current culture of cancellation present in social networks, through intolerance and rigidity to existing standards, reflects in consequences on mental health, especially in the young population. Therefore, the objective of this research was to analyze the influence of the media on the behavior and mental health of young people through the culture of cancellation. An exploratory research was carried out, with a qualitative approach, through an online questionnaire, with a sample of 56 participants aged between 18 and 24 years, residing in the city of Campina Grande-PB. Data collected from the survey were examined using the Iramuteq software. In the Word Cloud analysis, was established a significant frequency of the term "no" and through the Descending Hierarchical Classification, the results were distributed into the following classes: social exclusion (16.3%), social patterns (17.7%), psychological damage (23.1%), media influence (15%), rejection (12.2%) and internet (15.7%). Therefore, the main result shows deterioration of mental health.
