Pott's disease is a rare but important form of tuberculosis that affects the spine, causing back pain, muscle weakness and sensory changes. The diagnosis is based on the patient's clinical history, physical examination, laboratory and imaging tests. The main radiographs are plain radiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Treatment is based on antituberculosis medications and may include surgery in severe cases. Prognosis is generally good with proper treatment. It is important to highlight that Pott's disease continues to be a public health concern in developing countries.
