THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF PHYSICAL EXERCISES IN THE PREVENTION OF PATELLAR CHONDROMALACIA: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Patellar chondromalacia is a pathology that it is possible to live with, but there is no cure. The objective of this study was to verify the benefits of physical exercises in the prevention and treatment of patellar chondromalacia. The methodology adopted was the literature review through articles that theoretically support physical exercises; patellar chondromalacia and the benefits of these exercises against this pathology. The results showed that the constant practice of physical exercises brings benefits to health in general, mainly in the prevention of numerous diseases, contributes to the treatment of patellar chondromalacia so that the person affected by this pathology can live better and without pain, in addition to contribute to the physical and psychological. It is concluded that by having the habit of practicing exercises together with a qualified professional to conduct such activities, it is fully possible to avoid being affected by diseases.
