The present article aims to highlight the scope of Forensic Psychology, providing an illustrative list of its diverse areas of application. The relevance of the intersection between Psychology and the legal field will be discussed, emphasizing how Psychology can contribute in various contexts. The areas of criminology, assessment, counseling, victimology, mediation, and conciliation will be addressed. The approach will be qualitative, utilizing bibliographic research with historical analysis, as well as a review of academic literature to explore the scientific aspects of psychology in the legal context. The analysis will encompass criminal behavior, custody evaluations, counseling of crime victims, risk assessment for recidivism, and judicial mediation and conciliation. The concepts of renowned legal scholars such as Caio Corrêa Magalhães, Fátima França and Beatriz Bueno, as well as the expertise of Maria Amélia Azevedo e Manoel Antônio dos Santos, will be employed. The ultimate objective is to demonstrate the multifaceted applicability of Forensic Psychology.
