Langerhans cell histiocytosis was described in 1953. It affects approximately 3 to 4 individuals per million children per year and has a broad clinical spectrum. Its diagnosis is made through biopsy of the lesion. This study aims to describe the case of a child assisted by a multidisciplinary team in a public hospital in Sergipe, through the description of conducts and tests performed with the purpose of diagnostic elucidation. This report aims to emphasize the importance of thinking about the possibility of this diagnosis in the presence of lytic lesions, whether they are located in a single location or involve multiple organs.
