The study seeks to identify, characterize and compare the ornithological communities that inhabit the surroundings of Estrada do Taperebá, located between the municipalities of Serra do Navio and Pedra Branca do Amapari, State of Amapá, fieldwork was carried out in the years 2018 and 2020 It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute and serve as a source of data and information for the preservation of the local avifauna. With a total of 28 days of field activities, a total of 882 records were carried out, which identified 41 species of birds distributed in 10 orders and 19 families. The order with the highest number of species composition was Passeriforme. The observed species accumulation curve (Sobs) showed stability, demonstrating that the effort employed in the study was satisfactory. The data collected indicated that in addition to the effects of the generated edges, the dynamics of vehicle traffic on the Taperebá Road tended to change the species composition and the structure of bird communities.
