PSYCHOLOGY IN PRIMARY CARE: AN EXPERIENCE REPORT

Abstract

Primary Care is the first level of SUS (Unified Health  System) and is characterized by its multidisciplinary dynamics, aiming to offer health promotion services, following the principles of integrality and universality. This essay is an experience report with the purpose of describing the participation of a Psychology student from UFPA (Federal University of Pará) in the Multicampi extension project, reporting challenging scenarios for the psychologists' conduct inside a UBS (Basic Health Unit) and its integration within the territory and multiprofessional teams. Thus, it was verified the relevance in strengthening the bond between professionals and community, interdisciplinarity and compiling information for elaborating educational activities, influence of cultural aspects in the intervention, the need to develop a more shared perspective of psychology in these environments and to maintain and establish spaces for psychological caring.
