Obesity is currently considered a global epidemic and is conceptualized as a multifactorial pathology, physiologically being an accumulation of fat in adipose tissue. Cases of obesity have been increasing more and more due to a sedentary lifestyle, in addition to the post-pandemic moment in which, the use of electronic devices associated with a poor diet and lack of physical exercise, this chronic disease has been developing. A large part of the obese population has a certain block to start some physical activity, so concurrent training would be a good option at the beginning, because, in addition to being a very effective method, it is also very dynamic because it combines aerobic training with resistance training. The aim of this study was to show, through a systematic review of the literature, how effective concurrent training is in the weight loss process. It can be concluded that concurrent training is great for losing fat mass and increasing the percentage of lean mass, therefore, the individual will reach his final goal faster, which is fat loss, effectively thus his health and aesthetics.
