In this article, the health-disease process will be presented, which is an expression of the social issue, reflecting the current mode of production in society. With the aim of identifying the contribution of the social worker's work to effective comprehensive care in the care of users with chronic kidney disease undergoing renal replacement therapy. Like anyone else, the patient with kidney problems goes through difficulties in various spheres involving the biological, psychological and social aspects of the patient, because in this context, the practical intervention of the social worker is present and necessary. This is a bibliographic research with a qualitative approach. Social Work is very important for improving the living conditions of users with Chronic Kidney Disease, since their illness process, treatment requirements and changes in their daily lives involve procedures related to social factors, which are not performed by any health professional, except for the social worker.
