This literary review aims to relate the human consumption of margarine and hydrogenated vegetable fat to the relationship with the development of cardiovascular diseases. Its main objective is to guide and alert the population that the consumption of high levels of trans substances in food can be harmful to health, in the short and long term. The study focuses on the general population that exacerbated ingredients, mainly, can cause cardiovascular system disease, and death.
