LEGAL IMPACTS OF COVID-19 ON BRAZILIAN FOOTBALL

On March 11, 2020, the year in which the world was preparing to follow the Tokyo Olympic Games, the World Health Organization (WHO) made COVID-19 a global pandemic. Disease that mainly compromises the respiratory system, which can lead the individual to death. In this context, the objective of the present work is to elucidate the relevant changes in sports practices related to Brazilian football, addressing the legislative changes on the subject. Making use of sources from the Federal Constitution of 1988, the Consolidation of Labor Laws (CLT), Fan Statute, Pelé Law, Decree Law 8036/90, Decree Law 368/68, Law 14,117/2021 and the Management and Fiscal Responsibility of Brazilian Football. Its creation results from exploratory research in bibliographic references, making it essential for such a brief analysis of the conjuncture. Therefore, the investigation starts from the following questioning as a problem: what changes in the context of Brazilian football in the face of legal changes motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic? The results show the need for adaptations in cases of calamity evidenced in the days of the greatest health crisis today.
