Humanity's advances in the areas of technology and scientific research were not enough to prevent the emergence of a global epidemic caused by the Covid19 virus, causing a crisis that affected several sectors. There were human and material losses, and Education also faced many challenges in the face of this crisis. Due to the need for social distancing, schools started to use Remote Learning, through distance education, as a resource for posting and broadcasting classes, making teachers adapt to this new reality, reinventing themselves, becoming resilient. The theme of this research focuses on resilience, seeking to understand the behavior of teachers and students in these moments of tension, in order to maintain the best possible quality in the teaching-learning processes. It seeks to analyze the role of resilience in the practice of teachers in stressful situations, researching the impact of these changes on interpersonal relationships, due to the change from face-to-face classes to the format of virtual classes. Bibliographic sources were used as methodology and questionnaires were applied to teachers and students of the Metallurgy Technical Course at IFMG- Campus OuroPreto. It is concluded that the role of resilience in times of crisis is capable of promoting learning on the part of the teacher, as well as changes in the interpersonal relationships experienced by them, especially the role of Emotional Intelligence, helping them to reinvent themselves to meet new demands. After all, resilience is not a definitive state and how we face the crisis makes all the difference in how we react to it.
