THE MARIA DA PENHA LAW: A TIGHT LOOK AT THE PANDEMIC PERIOD

This research to analyze how the Covid-19 virus has had an impact on the number of cases of domestic violence during the pandemic and during social isolation, exposing the types of violence decreed in that law, we sought to present measures and legal instruments used to facing this reality in the pandemic context that became a major concern, due to social isolation, which resulted in femicide rates that were highlighted. It is noteworthy that the subject in question is of paramount importance, because although the Maria da Penha Law is a great advance in the fight against domestic violence, a pandemic was not expected and as something new, addressing appropriate measures that were taken in a short period of time. For the time being, organizations have analyzed that this increase came from social isolation and that they sneakily happen inside their homes, which contributes to risk factors for the lives of victims. This is a bibliographical research based on theoretical authors SAFFIOTI (2019), DIAS (2018), (ALENCAR) (2020) among others. The methodology used was of a qualitative nature and exploratory nature, supported by the bibliographic survey, which used books, scientific articles.
