Introduction: Breast cancer is a high-risk pathology, it is characterized by the disorderly increase of cells in the breast, resulting in an accumulation of cells forming a tumor, in most cases malignant. This process of uncontrolled cell division is what will give rise to the process called neoplasia General objective: To analyze the role of nurses in the orientation and prevention of breast cancer. Specific objective: To make the population aware of the importance of breast cancer prevention. Contribute to the reduction of breast cancer mortality. Alert about breast cancer by disseminating information about the prevention of the disease. In the present study, an integrative study was carried out with a review, in which journals were used between the years 2017 and 2021, which addressed the theme "Nurses' performance in the prevention of breast cancer in primary care". Result: Basic health care is the first access to health, because through this service we can provide health care adequately according to the patient's real need, the health units called ESF's are located in neighborhoods of decentralized way, with the main purpose of promoting and preventing public health of SUS users.
