This experience report research is part of a project “Reuse to Save: A practice of inserting foods in an integral way as: (peels, stalks, leaves and seeds). This experience was developed at the Francisco Carneiro Freitas Municipal School, located in the urban area of the municipality of Altamira Pará. Its objective was to avoid food waste and to make the school community aware of the importance of including a healthy diet in the diet, using food in an integral way. Providing both changes in eating habits involving new practices that aim to recognize and acquire healthy eating habits for the promotion of health and quality of life. The research was carried out from theoretical references of authors who emphasize the importance of consuming food in an integral way. The methodology applied was descriptive in nature through observation and analysis of experiences. The research is relevant to society because it shows food waste, but it encourages the school community and the family to consume food in full, in order to avoid waste, the Environmental Impact and enrich the food, promoting for both improvement in the quality of life. life. The importance of inserting foods in an integral way is emphasized, as they contributed to the reflection and established changes in eating habits behaviors. Providing both changes in eating habits involving new practices that aim to recognize and acquire healthy eating habits for the promotion of health and quality of life. With the purpose of disseminating healthy eating habits inside and outside the school environment, involving families and the community.
