In this context of problems of the chronic disease of obesity and bad eating habits, healthy eating has become a topic of discussion in the media, highlighting its importance in the quality of life and human health. Healthy eating is also presented as a topic addressed in the early grades, introducing bases for the awareness of children and their families. The objective of this study is to discuss teaching strategies in approaching the topic of healthy eating in the early grades, with the presentation of a practical intervention. This study is characterized as a bibliographic research. The relevance of the theme is the role of school education in the formation of citizens aware of the different issues involving contemporary society. The experimentation in recreational activities is presented as a teaching strategy forwarding for the approach of healthy eating in the teaching-learning process of the initial series.
