In this study we intend to characterize the natural resources of the province of Cabo Delgado, and for its production we resorted to bibliographic and cartographic research. Conducted the research, the results show that the province of Cabo Delgado has a rich variety of natural resources, and its geodiversity has varied resources with a diversity of geological classes resulting from different formations, namely the Quaternary, Cenozoic, Mesozoic and Karro/Meso systems. -cenozoic, characterized by outcrops of sedimentary rocks corresponding to carbonate rocks, especially alluvium; soils with a medium clayey to sandy texture, being good to moderate, generally well drained, along the river valleys, alluvial, dark, deep, heavy to medium textures predominate; important deposits of hydrocarbons, graphite, ruby, marble, limestone, clay, base metals, mineral water and precious stones; five hydrographic basins considered most important namely Lúrio, Megaruma, Montepuez, Messalo and Rovuma and a predominantly humid tropical climate. The province's biodiversity is made up of a high density of forest concentrated in the northwest of the province, mangroves along the coast and a variety of terrestrial and aquatic fauna.
