This article proposes an analysis of the importance of playing and the consequence of this in the child's development. A bibliographic research was carried out based on Piaget, Vygotsky, Ivic, Teodoro, among others. The main objective of this study is to emphasize the importance of play and playing in child development, because according to the authors researched this is an essential period in terms of learning and personal formation of the individual. The child in this age group builds his learning with the influences of the environment in which he lives. Your games and interactions with family and colleagues will provide new emotional and intellectual constructions. Parents and the school are essential for the stimulation of children in their games, so they have a very important role, and should foster a playful environment, rich in games and games. Games and games develop in children learning and emotions that will provide their full development.
