Abstract

This article is part of the master's thesis whose objective is to reflect on the importance of thinking about the initial and continuing education of teachers beyond a strictly theoretical training. It is about thinking about the elaboration of teacher training for the construction of an individual and collective identity based on the experiences at school and the encounter with the stories and knowledge of the different cultures that contributed and contribute to the formation of Brazilian society. A reflection made from the reading of theorists in the field of teacher education. Seeking to understand how this training contributes or not to the construction of identities and teaching practice for their performance in the face of the challenges of new social configurations and especially in training for gender and sexuality.
