MAXIMIZING RESULTS THROUGH TRANSPORT MANAGEMENT

Abstract

In Brazil, the main means of transporting products and passengers is road transport. A comprehensive modal, which makes connections with several cities, states and neighboring countries. But to be able to take advantage of these benefits, it is necessary to analyze the logistical processes to reduce transport costs and maximize yield. This work aims to identify the transport costs that affect a furniture company located in the northwestern microregion of the state of São Paulo. The methodology used to develop this article regarding the use of results is applied research, as the nature of the method is quantitative research, as to the ends it is descriptive research and as to the means, it is a bibliographic research integrated to a study of case. The data obtained will be tabulated using the Microsoft Excel 2019 application. In general, the aim is to determine the most impacting costs in transport management, so that it will be up to the Transport Manager to use actions to minimize them, through use from assertive integrated management practices to good practices in driving cargo transport vehicles for all professional drivers involved in this process, as they are the main agent for distributing products to end customers, given that they know all the specifics of the logistics area of distribution.
