This article aims to carry out an ergonomic analysis of work in the food industry sector, more specifically the production of cachaça in the company Cachaçaria Matuta LTDA in the municipality of Areia, in Paraíba (PB), in order to evaluate the postures adopted by the employees in the exercise of their work and propose solutions based on the results of this analysis, given that the Brazilian food and beverage sector has great economic importance for Brazil, being, among the national transformation industries, the largest. However, for the most part, the worker, the company and society in general do not care about this environment and the way in which the different work functions are performed to provide individuals with a safe and healthy place. In this regard, the object of study in the company will be the post that is in the final sector of production, the bottling, endowed with repetitive activities and high physical load. To achieve this objective, a bibliographic research was used to understand the concepts of ergonomics and through the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method, an ergonomic analysis was carried out to analyze posture in the work environment of the company's bottling sector. From the synthesis of the data collected, it was possible to identify elements to characterize the working conditions, for which some recommendations for improvements and preventions were defined, involving training, awareness, use of adequate tools and modernization of processes and procedures that guarantee improvement in quality. of work and productivity of these workers.
