Tomato is an important crop in Brazil and abroad. It is one of the most produced fruits in the world. Tomato fruits are nutritionally important because they are a source of Vitamin C, Pro-vitamin A (beta-carotene), Antioxidants (lycopene and other carotenoids). With consumer demand, the competition imposed by globalized markets forced the production of high standard foods, such as nutritional value, better sensory and qualitative properties. Due to its importance, it is essential to use varieties that provide producers with greater productivity and consequently greater profitability. Saladette tomato, also known as Italian tomato, is the most dual-compatible tomato, recommended for fresh consumption and processing. The fruits are rectangular (7-10 cm), small in lateral diameter (3-5 cm), bilobed, thick, deep red, very firm and delicious. The objective of this work is to verify the production cost and economic viability in the south of the State of Goiás.
