The national health plan of the penitentiary system aims to offer effective and comprehensive care to people deprived of liberty, however, it had limitations regarding the wide adherence of the prison itinerary. Thus, in this scenario, there are many difficulties in care due to the large capacity and the low priority given to assistance and health promotion for these people, providing an increase in cases of HPV and HIV. The present work has as general objective to present the health conditions of women with HIV and HPV in women's prisons in Brazil and the importance of the functioning of collective health in this context. A retrospective, descriptive, observational and basic investigation was carried out and it was observed that the increase in cases of these STIs is due to the low level of education and information, making the role of nursing of paramount importance through the health policies inserted in the prison environment, promoting information, treatments and educational actions that can help these women to know the risks of relationships without prevention. The difficulty of diagnosing these diseases early and the neglect of care favors the aggravation of these cases, bringing the cost to public health.
