OVERSHARENTING: THE OVEREXPOSURE OF THE IMAGE OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS ON SOCIAL NETWORKS AND PARENTS' CIVIL RESPONSIBILITY

This scientific article deals with the phenomenon known as oversharenting, characterized by the excessive sharing of the image of infants carried out by the parents themselves. In this way, this research aims to analyze the civil responsibility of parents in the face of the overexposure of the image of children and adolescents in social networks, taking into account the rights to the image and the principle of the best interest of children. Therefore, the inductive method is used in this study, in which there is an analysis of reality until reaching the conclusion. As a result, the right to image is linked to fundamental rights, which in the face of the practice of oversharenting there is a violation of these, and parents can respond for abuse of rights and be held civilly responsible in the objective modality for the damages caused to children and adolescents.
