Botulinum toxin is produced by a gram-positive bacterium called Clostridium botulinum and is released by its lysis. Eight different types of serotypes are the results of this lysis, such as type A, which is the most used in aesthetics. Botulinum toxin in aesthetic treatments as an option for the rise of facial contours in a more symmetrical way and its application can be performed by the aesthetic pharmacist, who is a duly qualified professional in the area. This research aimed to report the effectiveness of the application of botulinum toxin type A. As a methodological procedure we used the study of bibliographic reviews. With the present study, it was possible to conclude that the pharmacist in aesthetics is able to work with TBA, being able to do so, being responsible for the applied conduct.
