The concept of Emotional Intelligence is studied and how it can help leaders and resolve conflicts in organizations. This research aims to: study, through literature review, the importance of knowledge and application of Emotional Intelligence in the organizational environment, especially in leadership positions, in issues involving conflict management. This is a literature review in databases such as Google Scholar, Scielo and books in the area. The results showed that there is a lot of research on the subject, that the importance of EI in conflict management through leadership is addressed, that there are different styles of conflict management, and that EI can be acquired in training. It was concluded that there are many reflections on the importance of EI in organizations in general and in a specific way among the leaders so that conflicts can be managed while maintaining the synergy of the teams.
