TELEHEALTH AS A VEHICLE FOR INFORMATION AND EDUCATION IN A PANDEMIC SCENARIO

With the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a need for health care to adapt to this health emergency, with protective measures such as social distancing. In this sense, information and communication technologies in health had a greater boost. The purpose of this article is to show a descriptive view of telehealth activities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a special focus on teleeducation, through scientific literature. Quantitative and descriptive research, which followed the following steps: tracking of scientific articles related to the subject; selection of publications more relevant to the telehealth approach; choice of descriptors specified in the Medical Subject Headings (MESH). After reading the abstracts and later the publications, considering the inclusion criteria, 05 scientific articles selected. The selected studies demonstrate the multiplicity of applications in telehealth, and their use considering the new scenario imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to proving to be an important tool in the formation of a more qualified and informed health team.
