Abstract

This paper aims to understand the importance of literature in the process of development and learning of children. However it is a fact that Literature yesterday and today is part of education, direction and human development. Not just for being in school, but for being entirely connected to the person. From childhood to adulthood, we first need fantasy, freeing our imagination, and learning from other people's experiences. And reading is the mediator of all this. Thus, the work is about the importance of children's literature in the process of learning in childhood, as it seeks to know the contributions of storytelling.
