The work describes an experiment carried out using traces of concrete with the addition of coconut shell fibers to be used in pillars under construction. The object of the work is to identify the resistance differences of a normal concrete trace, that is, without the fibers, for a trace of concrete already containing the fibers. In the preparation of the fibers for the addition of the same next to the concrete followed some care, among them was drying equally the shells of the coconuts that had in hand and so then shredding them. It was given the importance of using the same trait in the first two cases and a third trait with different measures, being able to make the exact correlation of a pure trait and trace with fiber, and in the third trait the intention was directly to search for new and best values. The article also makes explicit the reason for choosing the fiber of the coconut shell to be the agent chosen for such an experiment.
