Introduction: Since 1985, the medical community has considered an ideal rate of caesarean sections between 10% to 15% of total deliveries; however, as cesarean sections provided becoming increasingly common, even without evidence that when performing, when there is no need, bring benefits. In 2014, a WHO proposed that the Robson Classification be used as a standard instrument for monitoring cesarean section rates. Objectives: The purpose of this research is to carry out the study covering the HSL maternity care obstetric model, according to Robson's classification according to the premises developed by the WHO. Methodology: Collect data from medical records available in the HSL archives in a prospective study. A survey used a Robson Classification as a standard tool to monitor the rates of cesarean sections in this maternity hospital. The study population consisted of pregnant women and / or parturients (full-term and / or preterm) who had the pregnancy resolution during the period from 08/01/2018 to 05/31/2019 at the HSL maternity hospital. Results: An analysis of the data collected showed that a proportion of cesarean deliveries is statistically higher than that recommended by WHO, with categories 1 and 3 concentrating an excessive number of indications. Conclusion: The number of cesarean sections performed at HSL is higher than expected, but lower than the national average and Robson's Classification is an important tool in verifying the quality of the procedure indication. The lack of correct data filling was a determining factor in the research.
