Introduction: Syphilis is currently considered one of the communicable infectious diseases with exacerbation of cases, in which its causative agent is the bacterium Treponema Pallidum. Congenital syphilis is fully reversible as long as the woman undergoes treatment as soon as possible and consistently. Objective: describe what has been scientifically published about the nursing care provided to pregnant women diagnosed with syphilis. Methodology: bibliographic review of a qualitative nature for which articles published between the years 2011 to 2021 were used, accessed in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) databases with the source Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and Medical Literature Analysis and Retrieval System Online (MEDLINE), with the theme Nursing care in the prevention of congenital syphilis in pregnancy: An integrative review. Results and Discussion: From the previous reading of the titles and abstracts, 31 articles were located and at the end of the reading, 9 articles were selected that meet the object of study according to the exposed theme. To structure the scientific basis, an open table was created containing information about the respective articles. The selected articles broadly analyzed how prenatal care and adequate treatment are crucial in the prevention of congenital syphilis. Conclusion: Although there are public policies that ensure and protect the mother and the baby, there is still a high efficiency deficit in the diagnosis of syphilis, treatment failure, low adherence to prenatal consultations, poor support in the Basic Health Unit and nurses. unqualified for such follow-up.
