This article analyzes clinical psychology regarding autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in contemporary society, with the specific objectives of understanding the importance of the psychologist in the treatment of autism spectrum disorder in contemporary society; to know the psychologist's practice in clinical psychology when it comes to autism spectrum disorder in contemporary society. The theoretical basis is based on authors who seek to know about autism and autistic socialization. This work is the result of a qualitative bibliographic research, whose relevance is to perceive the importance of this professional - the psychologist regarding the person with autism, in the interweaving of challenges of understanding its manifestations, regarding the discoveries that emphasize the treatments in clinical psychology. in contemporary society.
