The present work aimed to analyze the scope of production and commercialization of coriander in the municipality of Exu, facing the use of natural fertilizers and natural pest control to the detriment of the use of inorganic fertilizers, pesticides and industrialized pesticides. Productions with the "organic seal" have gained a lot of prominence when it comes to healthy eating, there are also several small producers who have become fans of this new vision of natural agriculture. The famous coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is a product widely consumed in the North and Northeast of Brazil and is found, in its region of consumption, as a vegetable with the potential to be produced within the organic standard. However, in order to have an organic product classification, food has to be produced using only alternative fertilization and pest control measures, which is not always done correctly, disfavoring certain types of management and reducing productivity. of the plantation. In this way, any change in the way the vegetable is produced, even to make it healthier, can present itself as a great opportunity to increase profits or simply an unpleasant economic risk. Therefore, to avoid possible damages, studies are needed that culminate in empirical knowledge to be disseminated in order to safely adapt the standard cultivation to the new desired management.
