This instrument addresses the importance of the Family in the School presenting it as an essential basis for the development of the students, aiming at the importance of the family in the educational process in the school environment. This work is based on bibliographical research, from the point of view of some theorists of great relevance for the education of Brazil, emphasizing on a point of view that includes the relation between the family and the school. This academic production concentrates considerable information in keeping with the theme, making possible the understanding of the relationship between family and school, as well as affective, social-emotional and active participation of parents in the teaching and learning process of learners. It is observed in this research that the participation of the parents is essential for the educational growth of the children. We emphasize that when there is a partnership between family and school the teaching-learning process takes on a valuable proportion. For his accomplishment he counted on some theorists, such as: Henri Wallon, Paulo Freire, Sarnoski, Medeiros, among others.
