This article proposes a critical reflection on the relationship between youth, culture and school, based on an exploratory research and the theoretical framework that recognizes young people as social subjects and producers of culture. Starting from the understanding that the school still operates, in many contexts, under a logic of silencing youth expressions, it seeks to understand how youth cultures can be legitimized in the school daily life as a way to strengthen integral education and youth protagonism. The research combined bibliographic reference with data collection via questionnaire applied to students of the Professional Master's Degree in Professional and Technological Education (ProfEPT). The results point to tensions, but also successful experiences that indicate the possibility of a more dialogical, inclusive and meaningful education.
