This article presents a proposal aimed at developing students' reading competence, focusing on meaning construction through the integration of explicit information, inferences, prior knowledge, and verbal and visual elements. The proposal is based on activating prior knowledge, shared reading, analyzing advertisements, group discussion, and text production. It also seeks to enhance students' ability to recognize communicative purposes, identify persuasion strategies, perceive values and stances, and produce texts appropriate to the genre.Downloads
